Insomnia affects metabolic, cardiovascular, nervous and immune system of a body.

Studies indicate that lack of sleep can lower the temperature of the body making it difficult for vital functions to sustain. Deprivation of sleep increases cortisol level in the body, accelerating aging and impairing immune system.
